Transmission overview
Transmission is a fast, easy, and free multi-platform BitTorrent client.
Transmission sets initial preferences so things "just work", while advanced features like watch directories, bad peer blocking, and the Web interface can be configured with just a few clicks. It supports full encryption, file selection, a Web-based interface, groups, peer exchange, automatic port forwarding, webseeds, watch directories, tracker editing, global and per-torrent speed limits, and more.
Its code is freely available online and is licensed under either the GNU Public License v2 or the MIT License. The development team welcomes anyone who is interested in contributing code, documentation, translations, or other help.

Transmission folks have yet to fix the "Sort By Que." Apparently mo one uses this function but a couple of us. 8 months and nothing. Client is dead to me.

I take everything nice I said about this crap, It's unstable as hell in Tahoe. The Visual Interface is all over the place... garbage.

After 3 friggin' years they finally released a new version... and they seem to have fixed the "Sort By" function. Seems to work great... Three-friggin'-Years... sigh.
Just FYI: The Tech guys over at their forum and serious jerks. Rude, condescending, smug little turds with delusions of adequacy... and it only took them 3 years to fix a simple problem. Priorities, I guess.

I abandoned Tran long ago. As noted by others, the condescending (disrespectful to users) attitude on the forums, lack of action on bugs, too long between releases. If multiplatform and free are important to you, suggest qBittorrent. qBittorrent = Active development, highly customizable, FAST, regular updates (granted Mac development lags, due to lack of Mac developers, but not lack of intent). And, oh yes, qBittorrent knows how to freakin sort.

25 Months... Two (2) Years and One (1) Month... and these folks still haven't fixed the Problems with the App. They have lotsa "Daily" Builds but can't seem to release any of them. Kinda pathetic.
